His name is Artie.
Artie Fishel.
Artie’s the son of the famous Las Vegas comedian and showman, Benny.
Benny Fishel.
In 2005, Benny was arrested and pleaded guilty to giving Quaaludes to women he wanted to have sex with before assaulting them in his dressing room.
He served three years in prison and became known worldwide as the Skanky Yank.
By contrast to Benny, Artie’s mother was super.
You got it…
Super Fishel. She stood by and did nothing.
So, Artie migrated to Australia to embark on a showbiz career as a cabaret and nightclub singer.
He teamed up with fellow muso and jazz afficionado, Chad.
Chad Geepeetee.
Together they formed the AI Band.
In Australia, AI stands for Artificial Insemination.
Not as much fun as the real thing, but there you go.
Pretty much like Artificial Intelligence, really. Not as much fun as the real thing but cheaper than hiring a studio and a bunch of musos.
But Artie and his AI Band did eventually team up with two real people, in 2026.
Songwriters Dave Prior and Ian Heydon.
Dave and Ian have been referred to as the Lennon-McCartney of Australia.
Sam Lennon and Cyril McCartney. Canadian ventriloquist act.
