WORKSHOP

Soon I will be conducting creative writing workshops.

As well as being an award-winning writer and published author, I have been a guest lecturer at the Australian Film Television and Radio School, and I have conducted numerous creative writing workshops over the years.

We might look at how to write a memoir, a sit-com, short stories, a novel, comedy sketches or even a fun factual book on MS. Up to the participants!

What’s it all about?

The aim is to create a Scribe Tribe of likeminded people interested in creating a humorous, engaging and informative collaborative works worthy of publication or broadcast.

Is this for you?

If you’re interested in creating fiction, writing your story, sharing your knowledge about MS, making other people laugh and having fun yourself, come along and join the Scribe Tribe.

What do you need?

Apart from a sense of humour, a computer, access to the free Teams app, and a spare couple of hours a week, not much.

How much will it cost me?

A creative writing workshop is considered Community Access by the NDIS for people with MS or a similar disability who are plan-managed or self-managed.

For non-NDIS participants, give me an expression of interest and we can work on a course structure to suit!

How many in the Scribe Tribe?

For NDIS participants, the workshops will consist of 2-hour Teams sessions online each week for 12 weeks. There will be mentoring, creative collaboration and editing for a maximum of two participants in each Teams session as well as one-to-one email access.

There is a saying that ‘you don’t get MS until you get MS’ but the MSing About book will be a fun (and funny) read, as well as providing information in an engaging manner. That’s simply because the emphasis is on MSing About as much as MS!
