My Australia 02

When gold was discovered in Kalgoorlie in the late 1890s, it wasn’t just men who went to seek a fortune. Women did, too, because in a town full of men, there is a certain case of supply and demand. At its peak, Hay Street was home to dozens of brothels and they were all busy. These days there is still one brothel operating as a bordello museum.
